Full moon in taurus + Mercury retrograde

If you’ve been feeling the tension rising of late, then you may do well to brace yourself, as Mercury will station retrograde at 20° Scorpio on October 24th 2026, exactly midway through Venus’ own exploration of the underworld.

The two will traverse the depths of Scorpio’s watery realms for the following three weeks, emerging almost in sync on November 13th and 14th respectively.

Along the way, they will call upon you to face that which you may have long been avoiding. As such, it is likely that much will be revealed, with hidden agendas coming to light, secrets emerging, and imbalanced power dynamics becoming apparent.

Asking that you confront the more challenging aspects of both yourself and life.

Whilst no doubt uncomfortable, this may be a time when you are forced to acknowledge that your personal power can only be truly developed by accepting that the only person and thing you have true dominion over is ultimately yourself and how you choose to respond.

Thus, during this period, you may be asked to transform the ways in which you connect to yourself and therefore others, by shifting your mindset and deepening your conversations, seeing people and situations with more clarity and being willing to speak from a place of honesty and vulnerability.

In the interim, on October 26th (4:11am BST), there will be a Full Moon at 2° Taurus, drawing to a point of conclusion an energetic cycle which began back on May 16th, with the Taurus New Moon.

Conjunct Chiron (retrograde in Aries), there may be a sensitivity to this lunation, as your tender spots get poked and prodded, illuminating where you may still be struggling to feel fully secure and accepting of yourself.

Yet, with an opposition to the Sun conjunct retrograde Venus (both in Scorpio), along with a square to Pluto (now direct in Aquarius), forming a tense t-square, there may be something of a siren call to weaponise your most personal wounds by transmuting your pain into your supreme power.

As such, with an aspect to Jupiter in Leo, conjunct both the South Node and Mars respectively, the push to be true to oneself is ever present. Can you therefore choose to meet yourself where you’re at, accepting the parts of yourself that are still in process and releasing your attachment to the versions of yourself you have previously embodied, along with the ones you perhaps never did but aspired to.

In the understanding that you are ever changing and evolving and thus, your definition of self must too.

Consequently, can you utilise this time to liberate yourself from the influence of others and the external world, so as to cultivate a sense of internalised sovereignty and security that allows you to connect, communicate, and create from a place of genuine openness and authenticity.
