New Moon in Cancer

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” ~ Anaïs Nin

Such a day may finally be upon you as the New Moon at 21° Cancer, occurring on July 14th 2026 (10:43am BST), will call for a moment of emotional introspection as you shed the old, so as to fully embrace the new.

Situated in a tight conjunction with retrograde Mercury (currently transitioning back through the emotional depths of Cancer until it reaches 16° on July 23rd), whilst squaring both Chiron (having ingressed into Taurus on June 19th, where it will remain until July 19th 2033!) and Saturn (in Aries), there is a strong request to slow down and tune in, so as to reflect on the past, understanding how certain childhood experiences and family dynamics have provided you with inherited stories and conditioning that may not presently serve you.

As such, issues relating to your sense of safety, material security, and self-worth may arise, asking that you investigate their root causes.

Yet with Mars conjunct Uranus (both in Gemini) forming a t-square with the Lunar Nodes and Venus (in Pisces and Virgo respectively), delving into the depths may come with its shocks, surprises, and revelations. Asking that you learn to moderate your impulsive reactions and aggressive responses by finding new ways to express your feelings, choosing to embrace healthy conflict where necessary.

As the South Node-Venus conjunction will also be situated at the apex of a yod, involving Pluto (retrograde in Aquarius) and Neptune (retrograde in Aries), this may begin to feel like a pressure point, yet the inescapable tension is intentional, as it serves to push you further towards your soul’s mission of releasing past-life karma.

Thus, you may find yourself considering as to what needs releasing in order for you to fully expand, grow, and evolve at this time. Are there certain relational dynamics in need of severance. Material pursuits requiring re-evaluation. Or behavioural patterns calling for amendment.

With Jupiter (having recently ingressed into Leo on June 30th, where it will remain until July 26th 2027) sextiling the Mars-Uranus conjunction and trining Neptune, can you develop the courage to break free from past limitations, by choosing optimism over criticism; boundaries over over-extending; asking for more over settling for less; and progress over perfection.

Are you ready to embrace your desire for recognition and self-expression, so as to allow yourself to not only dream of a brighter future, but to actively take a bold leap of faith towards it. As you fully awaken to the potent potential of life.
