New Moon in Virgo
Sometimes, it is only in the stillness of the void between past and future realities, that you come to understand the magnitude of what is being left behind and what is yet to be gained.
It is a momentary repose in the shadows which requires not only patience, but faith that all will unfold as it is meant. That nothing can really be lost, only released upon serving its purpose.
Thus, the New Moon in Virgo, set to occur on August 23rd (7:06am BST), will situate itself at a critical 0° Virgo, acting as a signal to accept the current lack of information, without anxiety, trusting that where you are is where you’re presently meant to be.
As the first of two New Moons in the sign during 2025 - with the second being a Partial Solar Eclipse on September 21st - this is merely the prising open of a door to the Eclipse Portal. It is a time for planting seeds, with the patient understanding that their germination may not yet come with any great speed.
However, due to the potency of the moment, getting clear on what you truly need, want and desire before sowing would be wise. Thus, can you utilise this time to retreat within, acknowledging not only what you wish to call into being for yourself and life, but in turn, what doubts, insecurities, issues, burdens, and emotional baggage is currently getting in the way.
Although, with a square to Uranus in Gemini, the energy within which you do this may just prove to be somewhat shaky and unstable, as it seeks to further awaken you, perhaps rather harshly, to the reality of how things are - not simply how you’d like them to be - highlighting what or whom has been holding you back and draining your resources.
Asking, can you willingly make the changes required - whether they be external or internal, mental or physical, personal or interpersonal - before they ultimately come to be made for you.
With Mars in Libra squaring both Jupiter in Cancer along with the Neptune-Saturn conjunction Rx in Pisces, it’s time to take responsibility for your own emotional well-being, thus, during this period, can you prioritise getting grounded, tuning into your inner wisdom and guidance, so as to become more self-reliant and less impacted by the tumult of external affairs.
As Venus, also in Cancer, will be caught in a t-square to Chiron Rx in Aries and Pluto Rx in Aquarius, know that your sense of personal power and self-worth will only come as a direct result of your own willingness to do the work required to heal the wounds to Self. Meaning that any attempt at bypassing or blaming will likely only be met with further experiences of suffering, disempowerment, and disillusionment as the Universe seeks to show you a mirror to yourself.
As such, with the Sun-Moon conjunction situated at the apex of a yod, involving Pluto and the Neptune-Saturn conjunction, you can be assured that any illusions will be dispelled in the darkness of this lunation, something which may prove to be uncomfortable if you’ve been clinging tightly to them for some time.
Hence, the development of absolute faith in the face of your fears will be vital. For only in the act of surrendering to a power much greater than your own can you truly expect to experience a radical transformation. And only in the aftermath of this Eclipse Season will you come to know just how radical that is.
