Full Moon in Cancer
On January 3rd 2026 (10:02am GMT), as the new calendar year begins its gentle unfurling, the sky will illuminate with the glow of a Full Moon at 13° Cancer, shedding light on the long, unwinding path ahead.
The stepping stones laid over the past six months since the New Moon in Cancer, back on June 25th 2025, will be revealed, highlighting their stability or lack thereof.
As such, with Mars, the Sun, and Venus all conjunct in Capricorn, expect questions to be raised over the long-term sustainability of your plans and endeavours for the year ahead. Asking if you’ve taken the time to not only clarify your vision for the future, but in addition, the work required to translate it into something tangible.
This may therefore be a time when your commitment to the cause is tested, asking if what you wanted then is still what you desire now.
With Mercury nearby, also in Capricorn, squaring the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Pisces, the focus will be on whether you have been able to find the midpoint between passion and practicality, expectation and reality, hope and acceptance, risk and responsibility. And as to whether any amendments are in order before you feel fully ready to move ahead.
Yet, with the Moon’s conjunction to Jupiter (in Cancer) and square to Chiron (in Aries), your ability to actually take action is likely to feel momentarily impaired by some arising emotional and mental blockages. Asking if you can you sit in the discomfort long enough for it to tell you its name. Choosing courage and curiosity over fear and avoidance. So as to expand fully into the parts of yourself that have long been constricted and ignored.
If so, then this may prove to be a period of deep inner healing, as you release the binds, bringing your internal world into balance and forcing the external to do the same.
Aligning you with the path ahead.
