New Moon in Cancer

On June 25th (11:31am BST), a New Moon at 4º Cancer is set to create an explosive atmosphere that may just challenge you to find the only place of security that truly exists: the one which dwells within.

With the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter all forming a tight conjunction, emotions are likely to become not only illuminated, but equally enlarged, as you’re asked to delve into deeper considerations.

Such as what presently needs liberating and transforming.

As Pluto (presently retrograde in Aquarius) will be activated at the apex of a yod, this lunation has the potential to act as something of a reset, offering you the opportunity to reconfigure the structure of your life and thus, in turn, where it’s heading.

Yet the definition of that direction will certainly need clarification beforehand in order for this potent energy to be truly effective.

As such, Neptune’s conjunction with Saturn, both in Aries, is asking that you define for yourself what the vision is, almost in spite of the external objectifications. Especially as an inconjunct to Mars in Virgo (itself situated at the apex of a yod), proves that the energy is no longer supporting conformity, or the polite etiquette of appeasing the consensus.

Thus, during this time you are being called to take courageous leaps of faith towards that which you desire and have belief in, whilst leaving your fears and concerns behind you.

However, as Pluto will be in opposition to Mercury in Cancer, this may require you to first acknowledge and express that which has until now either been hidden or suppressed. Asking that you willingly sit with what arises, in order to finally process and release the emotional blockages that have been unconsciously creating stagnancy and limitations within your mind and body.

A trigger warning of course would be wise, as Chiron, still in Aries, will be aspecting both Mercury and Pluto Rx, forming a tense t-square, which will likely have old, lingering issues, wounding, and trauma, resurfacing for healing and integration. A process of which that will no doubt require a moderate dose of compassion and self-care.

In the somewhat wider sphere, Uranus will be widely conjunct Venus, both in Taurus, asking that you adjust your relationship to your material, monetary, and relational world. Thus, can you surrender your attachment to these external elements for your sense of security, in the understanding that there is none to be found.

And learn to reorient your stability inwards, in the realisation that the only power you have in an ever moving world, is the power to respond.

By the Cancer Full Moon, on January 3rd 2026, your outer environment may have changed beyond recognition, or control, meaning the changes you make now, may be the most significant yet.
