New Moon in Libra

As the Eclipse Portal closes, drawing to an end a period of intense introspection and enforced change, the Sun and Moon come to collide in the late degrees of Libra, calling for a new beginning. One that is rooted in authenticity, harmony, and above all, unconditional love.

However, any journey from seed to sprout is never without its challenges, as this act of transformation often requires a cracking open, followed by a release, a surrender, a letting go, of an old way of being. An old form of existence which no longer fits.

And thus, the New Moon at 28° Libra, occurring on October 21st 2025 (1:25pm BST), will be calling for you to consider as to what presently requires shedding, in order for a new way of being to emerge.

Yet, it’s important to note that with a lot of differing planets activated under this lunation, the energy at play may at times feel somewhat unpredictable, as that which has been stored within the depths of your soul for perhaps a lifetime, or many, suddenly begins to emerge rather confrontationally into the conscious mind, bringing with it a weight of emotionality you may not be prepared for.

Whilst potentially difficult, can you acknowledge that it is only in the facing, feeling, and embracing of what appears that you will have the ability to access the wisdom that it’s attempting to offer.

As the Sun and Moon will be situated at the apex of a yod, involving both Uranus (in Gemini) and the Neptune-Saturn conjunction (Rx in Aries and Pisces respectively), you may find that contradictory and almost incompatible energies arise, inducing a restlessness and inner tension that requires you to seek balance.

Thus, if you find that feelings of guilt, obligation, or responsibility suddenly seem dominant, or that there is a perceived loss of Self when it comes to fulfilling the expectations, needs, or desires of other people, can you actively choose to insert a boundary where necessary, so as to prevent any habitual over-giving, or self-sacrificial behaviour that you know will only rob you of your joy.

Choosing to confront the issues you are presented with, in recognition of your co-creation of them, opting for honest dialogue and a more conscious way of relating, so as to cease the perpetual cycle of suffering.

With Chiron (Rx in Aries) in direct opposition, you may find that in doing so, clarity begins to emerge around your past pain and wounding, highlighting the ways in which it has been impacting how you show up in relationship, the choices you make, along with the people and experiences you attract and are in turn attracted to.

You may therefore become more conscious of the stories of abandonment, rejection, and betrayal that habitually play out, asking you to consider how the unhealed aspects of yourSelf may actually be shaping the way in which you relate to others, as well as the world around you.

In addition, with a square to Pluto (having stationed direct in Aquarius on October 14th), the emotionality of the moment is only further intensified, yet with good cause, as the Lord of the Underworld seeks to expose the imbalanced power dynamics currently present in your life, along with any unconscious needs, desires, or compulsions that may be fuelling them.

Asking you to consider at to whether you have been sacrificing your authenticity for the sake of safety or a false sense of connection.

And if so, are you ready to finally choose truth over fear, so as to transform your relationships, through the changing of unhealthy relational patterns. Learning how to give with integrity and not with an ulterior motive, such as the need for control or validation. Cultivating honest, authentic, and genuinely nourishing relationships as a result.

Especially as Venus, this lunation’s ruler, will also be in (its natal sign of) Libra, opposing the Neptune-Saturn conjunction, tasking you with garnering a clearer perception, so as to determine what is real and what is simply pure illusion. Asking, are you prepared to see people for who they truly are and accept them as such. And in the process, yourself.

Offering compassion and empathy for you both as you navigate your individual healing journeys. Coming into harmony and alignment with one another, as you find new reciprocal ways to relate, connect, and collaborate.
